The first time I shared a design wall, I shared this quilt. Here is the link. Since then I've gotten the body of the quilt pieced. It was all going pretty smoothly.
But then it just sat waiting for a border. I bought a black batik that has purple dots back when I started this project. I decided to use it for the setting triangles and then continue it into the border, followed by a purple batik. I had just a few rail fence blocks leftover, so I'm setting them in the corners. I like the way it is turning out. It did complicate what could have been a simple finish, but the good thing is there will be very few leftovers! I will be down to just inches of the inner border fabric (I hope), less than a yard of purple, and no leftover blocks.
I would like to have this quilt finished and delivered by Thanksgiving!
