I had very little time for "personal" sewing this week. I did manage to get the Weather Vane Quiltpartially pieced. I worked on it last night, mostly because I was tired of having it laid out on the floor in my sewing room. And also because it was so windy outside and I was tired of being in it!
My quilting machine seems to be back to it's "old self" with its new motor. So I put on the Hankie Quilt and got a good start quilting it. Since it is king size I will be working on this for awhile. I'm doing like a sampler with a variety of freehand quilting in the different blocks. This also takes a bit longer because I have to think about each one so I don't get to much repetition.
I'm liking how it is turning out so far. I hope my client agrees!
I think it will be a very special memento of her mother's hankies.
I will try to update my progress later this week!
